English and Citizenship Classes

Our classes for immigrants develop the literacy and civic knowledge required to obtain U.S. citizenship and actively participate in American society. We equip adult students with the language skills needed to secure stable employment, engage in the community and achieve self-sufficiency.

Citizenship Preparation

In-person and online courses develop language skills and American civics knowledge required to pass the US citizenship exam and become an American citizen.

  • In-person classes
    • Every Wednesday from 10:30am and 12:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-10:30am
    • Location: Burmese Rohingya Community of Wisconsin (2330 W Scott St., Milwaukee, WI 53204)
  • Online night classes
    • Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30pm- 7:00pm
English for Adults

In-person English classes for adults at the Burmese Rohingya Community of Wisconsin. Develops basic English literacy skills, builds personal confidence, and encourages the use of English in practical situations outside the classroom..
